Hey everyone!!
So this week was super crazy but super fun!!
So it started out with pday in which we played mega spoons and Hna Zollinger burned a skirt to celebrate her 1 year in the mission. That night we went to visit Virginia. She is progressing a lot and she told us that she wants to prepare to get baptized and that she feels like this is the right path for her and her life. She also asked her prayer that God would help her know if these things are true and to help her sort things out so that she can leave her old religion and be baptized.
On Tuesday we had zone meeting and we got zone shirts. Then afterwards we went to Alvear (a city about 1.5 hours away) to do exchanges with the sisters there. It was a fun time and we got to help them out in there area.
Then we came back and had a good rest of the week working. One cool story is that on Saturday all of our appointments fell through in the morning and we tried knocking doors for a few hours and no one wanted to let us in. Well, finally we started heading to our lunch and we decided to try one more door. The woman who answered the door let us in and she said that she was just praying to God to help get her through some hard times that she is going through and that we came right at the right moment in her life. It was such a cool experience to truly feel like a tool in the hands of God in the right place at the right time.
Yesterday was my birthday, it was really a good day!! Hno Julian gave me 2 big plates of alfajores, brownies and other sweet stuff! The sisters bought me a giant cake from Belén!! And I got a bunch of phone calls from different missionaries wishing me a happy birthday and all. The best phone call came at 10:30 at night when we got our transfer calls!!!! Well....I am staying in San Rafael with hna Harris!!!!!!! I am soooo happy! I have never been so surprised nor so happy with a transfer call before. It was truly the best birthday present!!
Well the only downer to this week was that Hna Cortes went home =( Her knee was really causing her problems and she couldn’t function here anymore. We are pretty bummed about that but she is strong and I believe that she will come back in a few months!!
So that was our fun and crazy week!! Thank you for all the birthday wishes!! I hope you didn’t miss me too much!! ;)
Love you all sooooo much!!
Sarah
