Have you ever heard of a missionary´s 6 months to sexy?? Well it´s the last 6 months of a missionay´s mission in which they loose or gain weight to get ready to go home am to get married (more or less is the story haha) Well This week we will be celebrating our 1 year in the mission and we will burn skirts and everything. But our festivities started early with a big BANG!! So Hna Harris and I both gat a really bad stomach virus and we were in the pench most of friday, all of Saturday and most of Sunday and we are still kind of weak even now. But the upside is that I COMPLETELY cleaned out EVERYTHING from my stomach and other intestines so I am feeling a bit skinnier haha. But yeah, because of the sickness not much happened this week.
On Monday we spent the day watching Meet the Mormons and eating cookies (cookies with ice cream yum!)
On Tuesday we had our zone meeting in which we got together with the missionaries from Alvear and Malargue and talked about the new rules and ways that we can do the work more effectively. It went well. Our part was about using the family history work to find new investigators, reactivate less actives and retain new members. It was a good meeting.
On Wednesday we had a normal day of work. Because of the "bad weather" the people are less openen to opening up but it was good. Then Thursday we had a FHE with a part member family (familia Verdugo), which was super fun and was a success.
On Friday we spent the morning waiting for Pres Rasteli (consejero de pres Goates) to install a panic button in our pench haha So now for extra security we have basically a doorbell inside the pench by the door that if we ring it it rings a super loud bell to wake up our neighbors and scare away any bad guy in case of emergency. Well after that Hna Harris wasn’t feeling so hot so we stayed inside and then I started feeling ill and then everything got worse... Hna Harris was much worse than I was but we were both pretty terrible haha. We got blessings from our ward mission leader and after one rough night it stopped and we were finally able to rest. I truly felt a bit stronger after the blessing so that was a good testimony builder. I am very grateful for the great ward members that take good care of us!
But that basically sums up the week. Sorry it´s not much to tell but we are feeling much better now and we are ready to work and have a successful week this week!!
Con mucho amor,
Sarah
