Well this week was kinda crazy!!
Monday was pday and we played games with the other sisters in the chapel. Then came Tuesday when we had our district meeting and then we traveled the 4 hours to Mendoza. We "slept" in the office Tuesday night with 10 other sisters from all different parts of the mission.
On Wednesday we had my first leadership council with pres and hermana Goates. It was great! I learned a lot and I felt the spirit. I also enjoyed seeing all of my friends from different areas of the mission. It was a great experience and I am excited for next month´s consejo!
We then stayed in the offices again Wednesday night because we both had visa paperwork to do Thursday. (Yes I am still illegal in this country...oops...it´s the office elder´s fault!!) So we did all that in the morning and returned to our area in the nighttime.
Then on Friday we had our zone meeting in the morning. It was a great and I didn’t freak out during our part!! (as sister training leaders we direct a part of the meeting) So that was fun and a great meeting. Saturday was a normal day but on Sunday River and Boca (the 2 biggest fútbol teams in Argentina) played so basically no one was in the streets nor let us in...
So basically we had about 2 days in our area...but we made the best of the little time we had.
We had a great experience with our investigator Teresa. She has trouble reading because her eyes are starting to go bad so we went and read the first 2 chapters of the Book of Mormon with her. We then talked about testimonies and she expressed frustration that she is not receiving answer to her prayers. She said that she is not humble enough or is not listening in the right way because she can’t feel the spirit but she wants to feel it. We then talking about how different people feel the spirit and that things happen in God´s time not ours. The spirit was so strong in the lesson. This lesson confirmed in me the importance of listening to the investigator and teaching with the guide of the spirit. Teresa truly wants to know that this gospel is true; she is truly investigating the church and when she does receive her answer she will be a strong and loyal member for the rest of her life. I know that she will receive her answer will time and with lots of prays and faith. If you could pray for her that would be a great help. =)
Well that ends my crazy week as we move into another one with a 70 coming and calling home!! This is going to be a good one!!
