This week seemed super LONG with transfers, new missionaries, conferences and people in our pench! But it was a great week!
Highlights:
We had 4 investigators in church this week!! Agostina came (as usual), Maria Angelica showed up which was a nice surprise, Alicia had her grand daughter watch her husband so that she could come to sacrament meeting and have a interview with the bishop and Rosa came to church for the first time and was there for the sacrament and the gospel principles class!! This was a crazy yet awesome Sunday. Alicia had an interview with the bishop to talk about tithing and a few other things and the bishop said it went well. Rosa enjoyed the class and the sacrament and walked home with Hermana Rojas (a hermana that we have been taking to lessons with us) I love seeing when the members and the investigators become real friends!
We are very excited to see this great progress with Rosa and Alicia!
The only problem with talking investigators to the church is the lack reverence in the ward. There are always people talking loudly before the sacrament begins and children run around freely during the entire meeting. It is embarrassing and it is hard for the investigators to concentrate and feel the spirit when there is so much noise and movement during the service. We are a little worried that our investigators might be turned off by the lack of respect and reverence. We are going to talk to the bishop but we do not want to overstep our limits and tell people how to raise their children or run their ward, but it is a big concern that we have.
This week we had sisters sleeping in our pench for 2 days. One was HNA LLOYD!! She was in Godoy cruz because she is training this transfer and came to pick up her daughter(new missionary)! She was so nervous but I know she will do great and her new comp seems awesome!!
The next night we had 4 other sisters in our pench. 5 Latinas and I!! haha it was fun but we didn’t get much sleep both nights, so for the past few days we have been walking around like zombies haha
The next day was our capacitacion for 6 weeks of training. It was fun and it was great to see all the hermanas (and the elders but mostly the hermanas) again and to see how much all of the new missionaries have progressed with their language, confidence and teaching skills. I love hearing from pres and hna Goates because they always have great ideas and interesting points of view of different things. It was great.
This week we were also about to have several lessons with members present which is awesome! It is always better when members go to lessons with us because they can testify to what we say and relate more to the investigators. Members are soooo important in the work and I am so grateful that there are lots of members in this ward that are willing to go to lessons with us. We need to use the members more.
The golden reference from the zone leaders is a little complicated. He does want to get baptized as soon as possible but he doesn’t want to go to this ward and we are not sure if he has problems with the word of wisdom and the law of chastity. But we passed him off to the elders and they are happy to have an investigator! He even came to church in our ward yesterday so you never know!
Well Hermana Diaz and I are happy and working hard. We had a great and busy week last week to start off the transfer and we will work to keep up this momentum that we have started. We have prayed about it and set a goal to have 2 baptisms this transfer and we are willing to work super hard to meet this goal. We feel that this goal is possible but requires a lot of faith and all of our efforts!

When we take the long way to our district meeting we go by the mountains!
The last district meeting
The largest pizza of my life!!! (it’s for 16 people)
The hermana trainers and trainees. It is sort of weird that we kinda look like our companions and have the same personalities! Pres Goates knows us all too well. haha
Well that is about all for this week!!
Love you all more than Alfajores!!!! (and thats saying something hehe)
Con amor,
Sarah
