Well I am feeling much better now after a few days of rest. This week was a little slow because of my health but there were also some great miracles!
On Thursday we had our interviews with president Goates. He always asks us some basic questions and then asks us if we have any questions for him. It always leads to a great conversation about what we want to talk about. President Goates is great and always says what we need to hear. So we actually talked a lot about that we need to be bold and straightforward with people. When we know that what we are saying in the truth then we shouldn’t have fear to share it and say it like it is. He also gave me some tips on how to deal with people who say that all the churches are good and all lead to heaven. Well, hna Diaz talk with pres goates about Agostina and how we can help her and he told her that we need to try and get her mom to read the Book of Mormon. Well, funny enough that same night we visited Agostina and her mom stayed and listened to us so we taught about the importance of the Book of Mormon and I was super bold but she didn’t get offended and it actually went well! So I will work on being more bold and clear when I talk with people from now on! Look out world here I come! hehe
We have also been working a lot with a new way of knocking doors in which we just enter the house for about 3 to 5 minutes and say a prayer in the house with the family. Well this actually works super well. People are much more willing to let us in for just a short prayer and they usually can feel the spirit after and are willing to give us references! It has been great! We are hoping that some of these families can become investigators in the next week or so.
Also gracia a que él vive started this week with the video and the new pass along cards. It has been going great so far! We had a lesson with a less active member, Belen, and we shared the video with her. It was our first time meeting with her and the spirit was so strong. We invited her to come to church the next day and after a little bit of pressure, she said yes!! The next day we walked with her to church and she had a great experience! It was her first time in the church in over 5 years. It was a great experience and we will continue to visit with her every week to make she that the spirit stays in her house and to keep her excited to come to church.
Con mucho amor,
Sarah
