This week flew by! We have been working hard in our area and we are seeing many miracles. This week we found a new investigator, Virginia, who is super excited about the church. She was a reference from a member and she is awesome! We have had 2 lessons with her this week and she came to a stake activity and the Sunday session of stake conference. She takes notes during our lessons of what we say but also of her thoughts and impressions. She took notes during stake conference and she said that she liked it but that she has some questions that she wants to ask us about it the next time we stop by. She has accepted a baptismal date for the 20th of June; she is golden! We are super excited to be working with her.
Teresa also came to stake conference and she said that she liked it and that she wants to come back next week. She is reading the Book of Mormon and she really understands it. However, she will not accept a baptismal date because she says that she is waiting to know more before she can commit to making such a big change in her life. We are afraid that she will because an "eternagator." We are working with her on the quality of her prayers and recognizing how she will receive answers to her prayers.
This week we had exchanges with the sisters from Barrio 1B. I was with Hna Tuia (from Samoa) in her area (my old area.) It was cool to be back in my old area and to visit a few of the same people that I visited before.
This weekend was stake conference, which started with the cultural event Friday. We as missionaries did an act again this year. It was super fun! The elders and sisters are so funny and they are all such good actors. It was a good night to just relax a little bit and to laugh a lot.
We then had the Saturday night conference and then the Sunday morning conference. It was a good conference and they had a pretty good turn out. We had 4 investigators at the Sunday conference!
So remember the crazy landlord lady from Godoy Cruz Maria Angelica who is kinda like the crazy mom of the missionaries?? Well she got baptized this week!!!!!!! I cannot believe it because when I was there she just wanted to be our friend, she really wasn’t interested in joining the church. But she got baptized this weekend, which is such a miracle! I wish I was there but at least I will see her next week when I go to Mendoza for consejo!
Con Amor,
Sarah
