Happy New year!!!!
It is so weird to think that I will be on my mission for all of 2015!! I have never done something for a whole year straight before!! I hope I don’t get board ;)
The work is going great here!! Hna Lloyd (the people here say joyd haha) and I are starting to really work together well and have a flow to our teaching and planning that really works. We are starting to see some great progress in the area!
This week we were able to have 19 lessons, which is great! We were able to find 3 new investigators and 2 from ALB. One of them, Rosa, was a complete miracle. We were passing by her house when her dog ran outside and started barking at us. Rosa came running outside after the dog. We were able to talk with her for a long while and she even let us unto her house for a mini lesson right there and then! We went back to her house 2 days later and were able to teach her the Plan of Salvation. She was very receptive and liked what we were saying. I am sure that she is an answer to our prayers for new people to teach.
We were able to have a great lesson with our investigator Alicia. Alicia believes what we say and has felt the spirit very strongly but, she has never shown too much interest in baptism. She has a strong belief in the Virgin Maria and always prays in the name of Jesus Christ and the Virgin. During our lesson she said that she wants to be baptized but that she wont give up the virgin to do it. So we changed our lesson plan and taught her that Maria was a chosen woman and that she played an important plan in God´s plan, but that we should not pray to her. We taught her the correct way to pray and said that she can thank God for the virgin but only end in the name of Jesus Christ. She said that sounded ok and offered her first correct prayer! We believe that she will be ready to be baptized in a few weeks. We just have to make sure that she doesn’t fall into old habits with her prayers. We are very excited to see her progress.
The main difference here in the city than in San Rafael is the difference in the money. In San Rafael everyone was about at the same level economically but, here our ward is split with the people that have a ton of money and people that have almost none. This is a problem in the ward. Almost every inactive member is offended by something someone said or did to them...It´s sad but it´s just a different dynamic that I have to get used to.
But overall, a wonderful week with miracles and progress all around!!

The sky was red one night! It was sooo cool looking. I hope you find that moderately interesting haha
Here are the pictures of our New Years Eve celebration in the pench! We ate cookies and fruit all smeared in PEANUT BUTTER and NUTELLA!!!! I am so happy to live in a big city!!!! We also made popcorn in a pot, which was an interesting experience. We lit candles and talked about what we have accomplished in 2014 and what we want to do in 2015 (a family tradition for Hna Lloyd) It was a fun night and a good bonding experience.
Well I love you all and miss you and wish you all the best of luck with the New Year!!!!
