Well this was an exciting week!
So first I finished the Book of Mormon in Spanish! I love the Book of Mormon and I can not believe how much I have learned from reading it all over again. It is incredible to me how every page testifies of Jesus Christ as our Salvador and how he did everything for us. This morning I started all over again with the intro and the testimonies in the front. I was very impacted by the numerous testimonies that there are of the book of Mormon. There are so many people that testify that it is true, and that suffered great persecutions to write and protect this book that it cannot not be true. I love how at the end of the book there is an invitation to find out for yourself and that you don´t just have to believe in the testimonies of others; you can gain your own.
We also went to a baptism this week. A young boy from the ward was baptized this Saturday. It was great and several less active members and a recent convert came. One of our investigators, Francisco (an old man) tried to come but he came early and no one was there yet so he left =( But the service was very nice and I felt the spirit so strongly when the bishop was giving him the gift of the holy ghost. It was a great experience for everyone there. I am now very excited to have a baptism (finally) and I feel like we are soo close! Today we are going to talk with Agostina about baptism and we are hopefully going to help her pick a baptismal date!!
This week we got our transfer calls and I got some interesting news.......... I am going to TRAIN!!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooo nervous and excited at the same time!!!! I am staying in my same area and I will find out on Thursday who my I will be training. There is 1 American sister, 2 Brazilians, a few from Peru, Chile and 1 from Samoa that are coming this transfer, so I could train any one of them! This is a big responsibility and I feel very unqualified for this job but I guess it´s just another challenge to overcome to make me more humble and to learn. So WISH ME LUCK!!
Hermana Lloyd is going to San Rafael! I am so excited for her! I am very sad to see her go because she is very much like a sister to me, but know that this will be the best thing for her!
So those were the highlights of my week!! This next week will be very interesting... pray for me!! haha
I love you all sooo much!!
Love,
Hermana Sarah Malstrom
