On Monday and Tuesday I was in a trio with Hna Tuia and Hna Zollinger. They are so fun! We had some great lessons with some of their awesome investigators and they are doing well.
On Wednesday we spent almost the whole day waiting in the terminal for our new comps to arrive. We had to wake up at 4:30 so that hna Tuia could make her bus at 6 and then we waited and waited until about 4pm for our comps to get there. Well I got to know a couple of the elders and sisters very well that day.
Then Hna Harris got here!! She is super cool. She is from Vernal Utah and is an art major from UVU. She is super funny and I think we will get along just fine!
Wednesday night we got to work in our area a little bit and we visited Virginia, Teresa and Graciela (a menos activa). It was a good night and we were able to feel the spirit very strongly in each lesson. Virginia is passing through some big trials in her life so she needs a lot of love, comfort and patience.
On Thursday morning we worked on finding new investigators in a different part of the area that we hardly ever work it. We are seriously focusing on finding new investigators and doing things a little differently so that we can get different results.
Then Thursday night we traveled the 4 hours to Mendoza for consejo de lideres. So in the terminal of Mendoza I got my phone (just the phone thank goodness) pickpocketed from my bag so now we have a new cell and I learned to be more careful and to not let strangers run into you! Well you live and you learn. Anyway, It was a fun trip and we went to an American style restaurant that night with real hamburgers!!!! It was a miracle and made up for the theft.
All of Friday we spent in the conference. It was a good conference and I learned a lot about being a better leader and about following the example of Jesus in every aspect of my life.
Well then after the conference we traveled back to San Rafael and got home around 11pm. When we got back we were informed that one of the pensions of the sisters in our zone is haunted and so they are not living with us until they can find a new pench that is less sketchy. I’m not sure if it´s the pench or just the sisters being paranoid but we are helping them out. So the 4 of us are living in our tiny pench but it makes for a fun time. So Saturday in the morning we spent helping the sisters look for a new pench. Then in the afternoon Barrio 2 had a baptism! We went with our investigator Teresa. It was a great baptismal service and I really felt the spirit. Teresa liked it and when I asked her if she wanted to be baptized she said yes but just not right now. She really wants to make sure of her decision before she does something so drastic and get baptized. Please pray for her and that she will receive her answer and fell the need to get baptized! I know everything happens in God´s time but I feel that she is prepared and just needs a little extra push to get baptized!
Well then it was Sunday and now it is pday. And that concludes my crazy week!!
Next week will be crazy too with reunion de zona and conferencia de zona whoohoo this is gunna be fun!!
I love you all so much!!
Con amor
Sarah
