I love and miss you all so much. I don't even know where to begin because so much has happened and I dont know how long an hour is haha, but here I go.
So my companion is Hermana Greene. She is 20 years old, and is from Arizona. We are the only sisters in our district. There are 5 companionships. The elders are all 18 years old and very serious (at least at the start) but they are actually fun. We are bonding I think!
We are on west campus and so our classroom is an apartment. Haha it's kinda weird learning and having a class in an apartment.
The MTC is super hard. I am constantly frustrated with the language because I can understand everything that is being said and I can read everything, but when I speak it is just a huge jumble of words that sounds dumb. But one of our teachers Sister Ferrell said that Spanish is secondary if we teach with the spirit, so that gives me hope.
We have 18 hour days here at the MTC which are long!! We are in class almost all day. We just have breaks for meals and for a 45 minute gym time. We get up at 6, have to be in class for personal study at 7 and then get done with class at 9:30 and have to be in bed by 10:30. It's insane! Everyone here is exhausted, but everyone is happy!
We have been teaching 2 "investigators" who are actually our teachers role playing. It is super hard to determine what their needs are and how to answer their questions in Spanish.
The devotional this Sunday was of Jennie Oaks Baker. She is a wonderful violinist, and she performed with her 4 little kids who were all amazing!
We got our travel plans yesterday and about half of our district is going to Argentina, and are on the same flights (first to Georgia and then to Argentina!) Once we are in Argentina we will go our separate ways. I am the only one going to Mendoza. We will be flying out Monday so I will not have another P day( Missionaries have one day of the week for preparatory activities like cleaning, shopping, laundry, letter or emailing writing, and some recreational activities.) for over a week. Today is my 1st P day in the MTC and my last haha.
Today we got to go do a session at the Provo Temple which was amazing! I saw a movie that I have never seen before and it was beautiful! The sweet spirit there is amazing! I know that I am where I'm supposed to be.
I love you guys sooooo much!! I miss you and I think of you often!! =)
Love,
Hermana Malstrom
