This week was a little different because of christmas but we were able to have some good spiritual lessons. We were able to go with 2 of the elders to our investigator Alicia´s house to give her and her sick husband blessings. It was very nice and the spirit was so strong. Alicia had tears in her eyes. I Hope that this experience helped to strengthen her testimony and that she will soon be able to recognize the answer that she has been searching for is that this church is true.
We were able to teach about Christ a lot this week. Christmas is definantly a time of miracles as people are more willing to think about Christ and show their gratitude to Him. I will be sad when this time of extra love and faith are over.
Saturday we were teaching a lesson about the plan of salvation to 2 of our investigators that have been taking the lessons for a few months now. The lesson was going well but about halfway through the mother asked us if we believed in witches and bad spirits because she believes that her mother is a witch and is doing dark magic in their house. She asked if we could do a special prayer to drive the evil spirits away. I was kinda lost for words. She was so serious and seriously believed this. We told her no but that we would continue to pray for her safety and for peace and harmony in her home. I think this week we may bring a hermano from the ward to give her a blessing of peace and comfort, and maybe a blessing on the house. But it was definantly an interesting experience. I got asked to do my first exorcism haha!
Another strange experience was that same day we went to a less active sister's house to teach her. She said we could come in if we didn't mind that her son was sleeping. We said ok becuase we thought that he was sleeping in the other room. Well no, he was sleeping on a mattress on the floor right in the middle of the living room where we had our lesson. It was so awkward. But she didn't mind so we just went with it and taught a whole 45ish minute lesson with her son snooring on the floor in the middle of the room. Her never work up!!!! Hna Lloyd and I were holding in laughter the whole lesson!!
That´s about all the interesting things that happened this week!
