This week was a crazy but great week! First off we were in a trio almost all of this week, which was really a blessing. I love Hermana Lloyd and she was truly needed in this area for a few extra days. Because of her we were able to find a antiguo investigator who we would have never found without her. Her name is Amanda and we were able to have a very spiritual lesson with her. It is incredible how God works in mysterious ways!
This week we have been working hard to find new investigators and to have lessons with members. However, even with all our efforts and coordination with the members, it has been very difficult to have lessons with members. This Sunday we started really focusing on strengthening our relationships with the members so that we can have more members who are willing to go teaching with us. We are also working on having the members give us references. The action plan for the zone is to have a poster with the names of all the members and a space to put stickers next to the names to count the numbers of references that they give us and the number of copies of the Book of Mormon that they give out to their friends. We will be giving out small prizes to the members who give us the most references, give out the most copies of the Book of Mormon and whoever gives us the first reference that becomes an investigator. We are hoping that this competition amongst the members will animate them to help with the obra misional. We have been inspired by Elder Gonzalez to work more with the members to achieve our goals and to strengthen the church as a whole.
We have also been working on going through and cleaning out our antiguo investigadores. We made a list of all the names and are trying to visit all of them because I believe that there is at least one person on the list that is ready to accept the gospel now and it is our responsibility to find him or her. We have had several great experiences already from working through this list and I know that there are more to come!
Hna Diaz is doing great! She has really opened up and seems much more comfortable and confident. She is a great teacher and has great, creative ideas. We getting along super well! We laugh and have a good time but also work hard! I am very blessed to have her as a companion!
